Pikli and Slido are both interaction layers for a presentation you already have. The main difference is how closely that interaction sits inside your presentation software.

Slido has direct integrations with PowerPoint, Google Slides, Webex, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom. Pikli runs as a separate live room in the browser. You share a link or QR code, show the projector view when needed, and keep using your existing deck or meeting setup.

The free plans also make different trade-offs. Slido allows more participants. Pikli allows more poll questions in one small session and includes moderated Q&A and CSV export without an upgrade.

**Disclosure:** Pikli publishes this comparison, so we are not a neutral reviewer. We checked Slido's public product, integration, help, and pricing pages on July 17, 2026. We also inspected the plan data loaded by its public pricing page. We did not evaluate negotiated enterprise terms, private service agreements, or real-world capacity under peak load. When a vendor changes a plan, its official page wins.

## The short answer

Choose **Pikli** if you want a separate browser-based room, expect no more than 50 people on the free plan, and need more than three polls, free Q&A moderation, or CSV results. Pikli also has matrix and multi-question survey formats in its free core set.

Choose **Slido** if you want polling and Q&A inside PowerPoint, Google Slides, Webex, Teams, or Zoom, or if your free session has 51 to 100 participants. Slido is also the more established option for enterprise identity, governance, and large managed events.

Both products let participants join without installing an app. The better host workflow depends on whether you prefer an integrated sidebar or a separate room.

## Where Pikli fits better

### You need more than three polls in a free session

Slido Basic allows three polls per Slido and one quiz. That is enough for an opening question, a midpoint check, and a closing vote. A workshop with six exercises or a class with repeated knowledge checks reaches the limit quickly.

Pikli Free lets an account create up to 50 polls in total and does not set a separate per-room poll limit. You could place six polls in tomorrow's workshop, but every poll counts toward the lifetime allowance. Deleting a poll does not restore the allowance.

This is not an unlimited free offer. It is a different unit of measurement:

- Slido limits questions inside each free Slido;
- Pikli limits total poll creation across the life of the free account.

Estimate both the busiest session and the number of sessions you will run before choosing.

### You need moderated Q&A without paying

Pikli Free includes question submission, upvoting, and moderation. A host can review incoming questions before they appear to the audience.

Slido Basic includes Q&A and upvoting, but its public plan data places moderation, advanced Q&A, and replies in Professional. Slido Engage adds unlimited polls, surveys, and exports but still does not include moderation.

For a 40-person town hall with a sensitive Q&A, that difference may decide the tool. For an informal team meeting where every question can appear immediately, it may not matter.

### You need a CSV file on the free plan

Pikli Free exports results as CSV. Slido Basic includes event analytics but not downloadable data exports. Slido Engage and higher plans add Excel, PDF, and Google Sheets exports.

Test the file before the event. Check whether it contains the question text, option labels, participant identifiers, timestamps, and any fields your reporting process expects. "Export included" is not enough if the resulting schema does not fit the job.

### You prefer a tool that stays separate from the deck

A separate room can be an advantage when the deck is locked, reviewed by another team, shared by several speakers, or presented from an unfamiliar computer. Put a QR code on the opening slide, keep the room in a browser tab, and switch to the projector view for results.

The cost is context switching. The host must manage the deck and the interaction room. Slido's direct integrations reduce that switching when the setup supports them.

Prepare a join card with the free [Poll QR Code Generator](/tools/poll-qr-code-generator/) if you choose the separate-room workflow.

## Where Slido fits better

### You want polls inside PowerPoint or Google Slides

Slido can add polls, quizzes, and Q&A directly to PowerPoint and Google Slides. It also integrates with Webex, Teams, and Zoom, so hosts and participants can interact without moving between as many windows.

This is Slido's clearest advantage. A training team can keep the deck format it already uses while inserting interaction points into the presentation flow. Pikli works beside the deck rather than inside it.

Integrations add setup risk as well as convenience. Install the add-in on the actual presentation computer, sign in with the correct account, and run a full-screen rehearsal. Corporate device policy or a guest laptop can break an integration that worked on the author's machine.

### Your free audience has 51 to 100 people

Slido Basic supports up to 100 participants per Slido. Pikli Free supports up to 50 participants per room.

If 75 students need to answer two polls, Slido is the direct free-plan fit. If the same 75-person session needs six polls, moderation, and an export, neither free plan matches every requirement. Compare the paid workflow instead of forcing the event around a free limit.

### You need a mature enterprise control set

Slido's public plans describe a clearer path for larger organizations. Professional adds 1,000 participants per Slido, participant email verification, Q&A moderation, replies, custom themes, logos, and account analytics. Enterprise lists 5,000 participants as the standard allowance and adds SSO and user provisioning; its pricing interface directs larger requirements to sales.

Pikli Pro publicly lists unlimited participants, polls, data retention, supported integrations, and admin overrides. It does not advertise an equivalent SSO and provisioning package on the public pricing page.

For an enterprise all-hands, verify identity controls, data region, retention, accessibility, support coverage, moderation roles, and tested concurrency directly with each vendor. A plan label is not a load test.

### You want a free account without a lifetime creation cap

Slido Basic lists unlimited Slidos, each with three polls and one quiz. A host who runs many short meetings can create a new Slido for each one without consuming a lifetime pool of questions.

Pikli's 50-poll lifetime allowance is more flexible inside one session but eventually requires an upgrade for a frequent host. This makes Slido Basic attractive for repeated meetings that use only one or two interactions each.

## How the paid plans compare

Pikli has one public paid tier. Pro costs €10 per month or €96 per year in euros, and $12 per month or $111 per year in dollars. It removes the poll and participant limits, unlocks the clickable-image poll, adds advanced analytics, supported integrations, longer retention, more export formats, and priority support.

Slido separates paid needs into more tiers. On the EU annual pricing page checked for this article:

- **Engage** costs €15 per month billed annually, supports 200 participants, and adds unlimited polls and quizzes, surveys, image polls, and data exports.
- **Professional** costs €60 per month billed annually, supports 1,000 participants, and adds moderation, advanced Q&A, replies, branding, participant email verification, and two included users.
- **Enterprise** starts at €150 per month billed annually in the public interface, supports 5,000 participants in the listed plan, and adds SSO and provisioning.

Slido also sells one-time event and education plans. Currency, tax, billing region, and plan experiments can change the displayed amount, so confirm the checkout price before budgeting.

Pikli is less expensive on the public annual prices and advertises no participant cap on Pro. Slido provides a more detailed ladder for team size, participant capacity, branding, and governance. A large-event buyer should compare operational support and tested capacity, not treat "unlimited" as a performance guarantee.

## Five common scenarios

### A 30-person workshop with six exercises

Start with Pikli. Its free per-room workflow allows more than three polls, and the audience fits under 50. Watch the 50-poll lifetime account limit.

### A 75-person lecture with two polls

Start with Slido Basic. The audience fits its 100-participant limit, and two polls fit its three-poll allowance. The PowerPoint or Google Slides integration may also suit the teaching workflow.

### A small leadership Q&A that needs approval

Start with Pikli if the room has no more than 50 people. Free moderation is the deciding requirement. With Slido, budget for Professional if questions must be reviewed before publication.

### A recurring meeting with one pulse check

Start with Slido Basic if the direct meeting integration matters. Its per-Slido allowance works well for one or two questions across many separate meetings. Start with Pikli if a separate browser room and CSV result are more useful.

### A managed company all-hands

Start the procurement review with Slido because its public Professional and Enterprise plans spell out moderation, branding, identity, and provisioning controls. Include Pikli only after confirming the exact governance and support requirements with the team.

## What to test before choosing

Build the same session in both products and rehearse it on the equipment that will be used live:

1. Create four polls and one Q&A prompt.
2. Join from a phone using mobile data.
3. Moderate a question and display the approved result.
4. Run the presentation in full-screen mode and move between interactions.
5. Export the data and open it in the reporting tool your team uses.
6. Ask a second person to take over the host workflow.

This test exposes the real trade-off. Slido may feel easier because it sits inside the presentation. Pikli may feel safer because the interaction room is independent of the deck and add-ins.

## Final verdict

Pikli is the stronger free choice for a small session that needs more than three polls, moderated Q&A, or a CSV export. Its separate-room model also works well when you cannot change the deck.

Slido is the stronger choice for free audiences up to 100, direct presentation and meeting integrations, repeated sessions with only a few interactions, and organizations that need a documented path to enterprise controls.
